Alarm

A device designed to protect a car from theft or break-in. A volumetric alarm protects the car's interior, while a perimetric alarm protects the car's perimeter (for example, going off if a window is broken). Many car alarm systems combine the two technologies. Other systems may include motion sensors that guard again the car being towed away or being jacked up to remove the tires.
