Backrest

The upper part of a car seat. Most backrests fitted in the front of the car can be tilted, to enable the occupant to find the most comfortable position. Some may also offer lumbar adjustment.

Backrests in the rear of the car usually cannot be adjusted for comfort, although this is not always the case. Most however can be split and folded to increase the capacity of the trunk.
