Cloning

Cloning is the illegal practice of taking the identity of a legitimate vehicle to use on another vehicle of exactly the same make and model used by the criminal. This other vehicle may be a stolen car which may be sold on to an unwitting buyer, or it may be a legitimate car used in crimes, or as a way for the owner to avoid speeding or parking tickets.
