Parking Distance Sensors

Also known as Reverse Backup Sensors.

A technology that allows the driver of a vehicle to be alerted to nearby objects in their path while backing up. A set of sensors placed in the car's fender use ultrasonic waves detect any object close to the car. A controller installed inside the vehicle receives the signal from the sensors and transmits a beeping noise to warn the driver, becoming more rapid as the car moves nearer to the object.
