Tires, Pneumatic

An air filled tire used almost universally for all vehicles. Pneumatic tires consist of a flexible elastomer material such as rubber or synthetic rubber, with reinforcing steel threads or wires inside the elastomer material. The air contained in the tire compresses as the wheel goes over a bump and acts as a shock absorber.
