Vehicle Tracking Systems

One of the greatest advancements in automobile security systems over the past few years is the vehicle tracking (or tracker) system. Although a tracker system cannot actively prevent anybody from breaking into your car or truck, it will (as the name suggests) track your vehicle if it is stolen.

The vehicle is fitted with a hidden device that sends out a unique signal to pinpoint the exact whereabouts of your vehicle and relays that information to police. It is combined with a satellite Global Positioning System (GPS), which can make locating your car quick and simple. Tracker systems are relatively expensive (a one off fee, plus an annual subscription) but are a sophisticated and effective way to prevent thieves from stealing and selling on your car or truck.
