Non-Revolving Cards

As an alternative to credit cards, non-revolving cards (also known as charge cards) require the borrowed amount to be paid in full each month. There is no standard monthly interest-only fee, or minimum payment. An annual fee is usually required to hold a charge card.

The most famous issuers of such cards are American Express and Diners Club. Most banks also offer this type of card to their customers.

As the full balance must be paid off each month, this type of card prevents the cardholder from running up credit card debt, and is a good choice for anyone who doesn't feel completely in control of their spending habits.
